So — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows the return with no faffing, either odds format. It also handles the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it lives at double bet and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that genuinely shifted things for me was the nerdier tools. They’ve got an implied probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutching one is handy too when I’m spreading across selections.

Couple of gripes. Its design looks very functional, let’s say — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s fine though the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.

Now understanding why someone recommended this site to me a while back, and a stop at dailyshoppingexperience explained the recommendation, sometimes recommendations make sense only after experience and this site has finally clicked into place as the kind of resource I now understand was being recommended for sound editorial reasons by my friend.

Solid quality, the kind of work that holds up to a careful read rather than a quick skim, and a quick look at nevirounion kept that standard going strong, content that rewards attention rather than punishing it is something I appreciate more and more these days online across nearly every topic I follow.

Appreciated the way each section connected smoothly to the next without abrupt jumps, and a stop at plivoxstore kept that flow going nicely, transitions are something most blog writers ignore but the difference is huge for the reader who is trying to follow a sustained line of thought today across many different topics.
