A thoughtful read in a week that has been mostly noisy, and a look at strategicgrowthpartnerships carried that thoughtful quality across more pages, finding pockets of considered writing in a week of distractions is one of the small wins of careful curation and this site is providing those pockets at a sustainable rate.

A piece that did not lecture even when it had clear positions, and a look at discoverprofessionalgrowth maintained the same teaching without preaching tone, finding the line between informing and lecturing is hard and most sites land on the wrong side of it but this one has clearly figured out how to inform without becoming preachy.

Quality you can feel from the first paragraph, the writer clearly knows the topic and how to share it, and a quick look at maverotrustco confirmed the same depth runs throughout the rest of the site as well which is rare and worth pointing out when it happens online for any reader passing through.

Skipped the social share buttons but might come back to actually use one later, and a stop at sunnyflowercases extended that share urge, content that triggers genuine sharing impulses rather than performative ones is content that has actually moved me and not many posts in a typical week do that for me actually.

OK — been using this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am UK based, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I could never figure out what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you put in stake and odds and you get profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I’d always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at each way betting calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that really shifted things for me was the geekier tools. The odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout feels very functional, let’s say — not much frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.

Anyway. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone still adds it up in their head, have a look — it’s saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
