Now considering writing a longer note about the post somewhere, and a look at pelix added more material for that note, content that prompts me to write rather than just consume is content with generative energy and this site is producing that generative effect for me at a higher rate than most sources.

A piece that respected the reader by not over explaining the obvious, and a look at feb-en continued that calibrated approach, finding the right level of explanation is one of the harder editorial calls and this site has clearly thought carefully about what readers will already know versus what they need help with consistently.

During a quiet evening reading session this provided just the right depth without being heavy, and a stop at navirobond maintained the same evening appropriate weight, content with depth that does not exhaust the reader is content with editorial calibration and this site has clearly figured out how to be substantial without being demanding all the time.

OK — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, nothing mad, so take it how you like.

How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an each way return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just guess and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return straight away, either odds format. It also handles the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it’s over at super heinz and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What actually changed how I bet is the more serious extras. The probability calculator that shows what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too if I’m covering two or three runners.

Not all sunshine though. The layout is pretty plain — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you even now does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Quietly building a case in my head for why this site deserves more attention than it currently seems to receive, and a look at kazhanmaster reinforced the case, the gap between quality and recognition is a recurring frustration in independent online content and this site is one of the cases that seems particularly egregious to me today.

Reading this in a quiet hour and finding it suited the quiet, and a stop at ThirtyMale extended the quiet reading mood, content that matches its own optimal reading conditions rather than fighting them is content that has been thoughtfully calibrated and this site reads as having a particular reading mood in mind throughout.
