Right — been on this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.
What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I could never get my head round what an ew return would be when the place terms changed. I used to just wing it and get a shock. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in stake and odds and you get profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, and that’s where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it’s over at what is a trixie bet? — free, no signup.
What really shifted things for me were the more serious extras. They’ve got an implied probability calculator that shows the overround, plus a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. The interface feels very functional, let’s say — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, does the job. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

Now considering the post as evidence that careful blog writing is still possible, and a look at customerfirstshoppinghub extended that evidence, the broader question of whether the modern web can sustain quality writing has obvious empirical answers in sites like this one and seeing them is reassuring even when they remain a minority overall today.

Now thinking about how this post will age over the coming years, and a stop at thesandiegoleague suggested the same durability, content built to age well rather than to capture the attention of the moment is content with a different kind of value and this site has clearly chosen the long horizon over the short one.

So — have been messing about with this thing for about five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, generally bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could work out what an ew return would be when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. If you want a look, it lives at sports betting margin calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
What genuinely shifted things for me was the more serious extras. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround, plus a kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. The design is pretty plain — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable although the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

Reading this between meetings turned out to be the most useful thing I did all afternoon, and a stop at feb-en kept that productivity feeling going, content can sometimes outperform actual work in terms of what gets accomplished mentally and this site managed that today which is genuinely a high bar to clear consistently.
