Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I’m in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an e/w payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. Now punch the numbers in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and you get the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it lives at how much is a 50p each way lucky 15 and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that genuinely made a difference were the geekier extras. There’s an implied probability thing which shows you what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator is handy too if I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout is a bit basic — no flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works but the acca grid make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, have a look — saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
